F. Andrew Eberheart, PA-C, ATC/L, CMT

Andy is a Physician Assistant at Georgia Carolina Orthopedics performing patient care in general orthopedics and sports medicine. 

Andy received his Bachelors of Science in Physical Education with emphasis in Athletic Training from the College of Charleston in 1995, massage certification from the Atlanta School of Massage in 1997, and Bachelors of Science of Physician Assistant from the Medical College of Georgia in 2005. He worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist for Hitchcock Rehabilitation Center in Aiken, SC in 1995-1999 and for Doctors Hospital Center for Sports Medicine 1999-2005. He worked as a Physician Assistant, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Massage Therapist for Orthopedic Surgery, P.C. in Johns Creek, Georgia, and Moore Orthopedics in Lexington, South Carolina before returning to Augusta in 2008 to join our practice. 

Andy has been fortunate to work with athletes of all ages and levels, including providing medical coverage for the New York Knicks NBA basketball team, local high school athletic teams, Aiken-Augusta Swim League, and former Head Athletic Trainer for the Augusta Stallions Arena2 football team. He is currently involved with USA Swimming as part of the High Performance Network of practitioners across the country selected to work with USA Swimmings National/Olympic Teams. 

He has provided medical services for the 2009 Duel in the Pool in Manchester, England, 2011 Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, 2012 Olympic Team Training Camp in Knoxville, TN, 2012 FINA Short Course World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, 2015 BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series in Perth, Australia, 2016 Olympic team Training Camp in San Antonio, TX, 2017 FINA Open Water World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, and 2018 FINA pool and Open Water Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

He was a NCAA Division I swimmer and continues to swim USA Masters Swimming as well as triathlons. He is married with 2 children.
