Harrison B. Houston, MD

Dr. Harrison Houston is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery and reconstruction. He provides general orthopedic care while offering advanced expertise in primary and complex revision joint replacement.

After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Augusta University Medical Center, he went on to complete an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Emory University. His fellowship training focused on the surgical treatment of hip and knee disorders, including primary and complex revision joint replacement.

His surgical expertise includes total hip replacement through both anterior and posterior approaches, partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement, and complex revision hip and knee reconstruction. He treats arthritis and other conditions affecting the hip and knee, with a focus on helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

A compassionate, patient-centered approach guides his care, with an emphasis on education and shared decision-making. He uses evidence-based treatment and the latest advancements in joint replacement surgery to develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs, goals, and lifestyle. Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and traveling with family and friends. His interests include golf, pickleball, hiking, kayaking, boating, hunting, fishing, and sporting clays, as well as following football, basketball, and baseball.
